DISCOVER GOLDENOT
Custom OTServers: discover what actually changes.
A custom OTServer can change a few items or reshape much of the experience. Find out which changes affect the way you play, how they work and where they are documented.
Custom does not describe just one kind of server
“Custom” indicates changes made by the project, but not their extent. A map can be familiar while equipment differs; another project might create areas, creatures, quests or vocations. Confirm each feature instead of assuming all custom servers offer the same set.
Separate the changes you want to try
Use the table to evaluate maps, equipment, progression and rules. Choose what you want to keep familiar and what you would like to discover. If you will play with friends, align those preferences before comparing rates or creating characters.
| Aspect | What to check |
|---|---|
| Map | Available areas, routes and access to hunting grounds |
| Equipment | Attributes, requirements, materials and custom effects |
| Progression | Stages, objectives, resources and upgrade steps |
| Rules | PvP, protection, losses and system limits |
| Documentation | Examples and catalogs specific to the world |
A concrete example: Goldera 8.60
In GoldenOT, Goldera combines its 8.60 base with custom equipment and Golden enchantment. Golden Class/orbs is a system specific to this world; do not assume it exists in Lunara or Nadira. Check Goldera’s wiki for requirements and effects before investing resources in equipment.

Classic bases can also include custom features
Lunara 8.0 and Nadira 7.72 have their own documentation and include systems such as Bestiary, Prey, Forge and Market. An older version and customization are not opposing criteria. Use the chosen world’s catalog: items and rules from another world are not automatically equivalent.
Evaluate progression and equipment
Look for system requirements, material sources, upgrade effects and published limits. An EXP rate does not explain how difficult it is to complete an equipment build. Compare wiki examples and recipes; if a rule is unclear, check with support before assuming an outcome.
Start with your world’s guide
Compare versions, choose a platform and read the getting-started guide. In all three GoldenOT worlds, characters and inventories belong to their chosen world. The project is in Beta with a reset planned before official launch, so the progress policy matters alongside custom systems.
