GoldenOT rules

01 Public channels

As regras se aplicam aos canais Advertising, Help Channel (inglês, português e polonês), aos chats desses idiomas e ao World Chat.

Advertising

Use the channel exclusively to advertise:

• Buying and selling in-game items.
• Buying and selling houses for gold or in-game items.
• Quest services.

Sales unrelated to the game

Advertisements for sales unrelated to the game are considered spam and may be punished. This rule also applies to forums. Advertising gold for real money is one example.

Help Channel

Help is for questions about GoldenOT and the game, not casual conversation. A tutor may mute a player in the channel for one hour at their discretion, especially when the channel is used for other purposes.

Language chats and World Chat

Discussion of various topics is allowed within the limits below. In language channels, also respect each channel's language. The following conduct is not tolerated in these channels or most others:

• Ofensas. Intent matters regardless of language, disguised words or non-verbal expressions. If someone provokes you, ignore it instead of replying in anger. Mild expressions such as “noob” are not necessarily serious insults; serious insults may be punished.
• Racismo. Expressions insulting or ridiculing a country, its inhabitants, a nation or an ethnic group are not tolerated.
• Harassment and threats. Harassing other players is prohibited. Real-life threats are especially serious and may result in severe penalties.
• Sexual content. There are children in the community. Sexual content is not allowed in game channels.
• Spam. Repeating identical or similar messages without a valid reason may result in a mute. Continuing this behavior may lead to character imprisonment.

02 Game rules

Blocking areas

Blocking an area for more than 15 minutes is prohibited. Abuse may result in immediate punishment.

Exception during guild wars: a team may block an area as part of a battle. If reported, a gamemaster will assess whether it was a violation or a defensive action.

Bots e macros

Third-party bots and macros are prohibited. The only permitted bot is vithrax included in the official GoldenOT client installer. Any other bot, macro or automation tool is a violation.

Reporting bots

Use the in-game “report bot/macro” tool to report illegal third-party programs. This is the recommended way to report this type of incident.

03 Bugs and reports

Encontrou um bug?

Tell the team. Right-click and use “report coordinate”, or press Ctrl+Z and describe the problem in as much detail as possible.

Current rules provide a reward for reporting serious bugs that compromise the game. Reporting problems is strongly encouraged.

Bug abuse

Exploiting bugs for an advantage is not tolerated and may lead to deletion of the entire account.

04 Account sales

Selling your account is not allowed. It belongs to its creator, who may recover it. Intentionally trying to sell it may result in permanent loss of access.

05 Penalties

Rule breakers may be imprisoned or banned by the team, depending on severity. Repeated violations may result in an immediate ban.

There is no automatic prison system with a fixed seven-day term or release after four hours.
