Upgrade gems (+10)
Application
Use attack upgrade gem on an eligible weapon, arm upgrade gem on equipment with armor or defense upgrade gem on an item with base defense. The item must be in your backpack. Each valid attempt consumes one gem. The level shown in the name reaches +10 and is shared by the upgrades; these are not ten independent levels per attribute.
Chances and results
Attack: 60%, 65%, 60%, 55%, 50%, 45%, 40%, 35%, 30% and 10% for +1 through +10. Armor and defense: 50%, 45%, 40%, 35%, 30%, 25%, 20%, 15%, 10% and 5%. The selected attribute becomes its base value plus the resulting level.
Failures and compatibility
Failure at +0 keeps +0. Attack and defense lose one level on other failures. Armor +1 stays at +1; from +2 onward, it loses one level. The item is not destroyed. Forge's protector does not protect this upgrade. Forge items are rejected to avoid mixing systems.
